Neta Brazell
Riata Ranch Team Member/Instructor/Event Specialist/Finance Specialist
Neta Brazell has ridden horses since she was young. She joined Riata Ranch at 9 years old in 1986. Learning Western riding, specialty tricks, and working around Riata Ranch was the highlight of Neta's childhood and is something she has always taken great pride in. In 2006, she learned Team Roping and competed in both the American Cowboy Team Roping Association (ACTRA) and American Trick Riding Association competition (ATRA) in 2007, where she won multiple awards and was the overall Heeling champion that year, winning the prized ATRA saddle. Over the years, Neta has worked on several ranches and reconnected with Riata Ranch in 2019, becoming an instructor in Western and Trick riding. She loves the hard work and dedication required to work a ranch, a passion she has passed on and shares with her own children, who now study at Riata learning horsemanship. Neta is honored to be back at Riata Ranch, sharing her love of horses and passion of Western culture with the Ranch's guests, students, and children, showing them what it means to be a Riata Ranch Cowboy Girl.
